The candle burns
brighter
this morning
to remind me
of a timeless song.
An unconditional essence
flows from the flame
into my heart,
and returns
to return again.
I cannot see
a beginning
or an end.
I am one with something
I can't remember
but love like
a mysterious friend,
a brilliant lover.

Reunited with
a dimension
I cannot touch with my fingers,
I walk together
with my self
To hear the music
of a silent dawn,
Drawn
to the calling
of
my inherent horizon.

Black and White Night

I've watched this television special several times now and love it every time. Originally aired in 1987, Roy Orbison and Friends - Black and White Night featured a whole crew of great musical performers. Last night I caught it on our local PBS station wxel.org.

Here's Roy's classic hit "Pretty Woman" performed during this tv concert. I've always loved Roy Orbison and his music, but I especially enjoy watching a specific guitar player in the background. You know, that guy from New Jersey. Yes, the very talented and always adorable Bruce Springsteen.
