"Rosalita" Then and Now

You know by now that I'm a big Bruce Springsteen fan. As a former longtime "Jersey Girl," I've loved him since I can remember. One of my all-time favorite Bruce songs is Rosalita which was released in September 1973 on the album, The Wild, The Innocent, and The E Street Shuffle.

I've always loved the live version of the song. Bruce's wildly amusing on-stage presence makes a great song that much more entertaining. This classic video of Bruce and The E Street Band performing Rosalita is from 1978:





And here almost 31 years later is a June 2009 live version of the same song from the Hard Rock Calling Festival at Hyde Park, London, UK:





Bruce's endurance as a performer is amazing. And as far as I'm concerned, he has gotten better and better with age. Go Bruuuuce...
